Villa Versace

Villa Versace
It is an important eighteenth-century building formerly owned by the Curié family and then by Counts Cambiaghi.

The real name of this villa would be "La Fontanella", but as the stylist Gianni Versace, one of the greatest artists of the haute couture in the world, lived here for some years and his notoriety is so ample, today the villa is inevitably known with his name. Important improvements and architectural transformations, especially of the interiors in the neoclassical rooms, were brought by him with remarkable results also from the scenographical point of víew.

In July 1997, during a stay in the United States, Gianni Versace lost his life in an attempt upon his person.
